Assignment
This week we paint the UFC fighter Nate Diaz. Notice the distortions in his face as he sits in his corner mid fight,  a complex combo of emotions are there. Work with a timer and systematic approach just like last week. Give yourself at least 30min-1hr per step; 1. Proportion, 2. Value, 3. Color 4. Edge. 

Make sure the mark making and texture match the emotion. The expression is the important thing but it is a bonus if you get the likeness too.
