Assignment
In todays class we did critiques and took a look at the foreshortening of the hand and how to relate it to a fixed position on the body. We looked at strategies for developing the lace and hair 
I didn't get as far as I hoped in the demo today. but we talked about next steps and how to develop the painting beyond step 3. Rewatch the video for pointers on how to take the painting further. In particular see what you can do to slightly refine the drawing in the portrait and and hand. Look for the pattern in the lace and develop it, try to get the transparency of the skin behind the lace. Look to Sargent and Zorn for inspiration (paintings in Class resources)
