Hi,
Thank you for joining the class. Below is information about the class. Please read through to get an idea of how the class works.

How it works

  • Dominique usually starts the first class with a demo, discussion and q&a.
  • Subsequent classes in the month start with student critiques and then proceed to the demo.
  • Dominique’s demo shows you how to analyze your subject, compose your painting and  paint with a reliable process.
  • Painting with the process and reference provided helps you to internalize the painting techniques and concepts
  • Class demos and critiques are recorded. You can watch, pause, rewind and paint along with the recording at your own pace.

How the get the most out of the class.

If you are a beginner it is best to watch the demo first, take notes and absorb as much of the lesson as possible. Dominique models the entire process during the demo and answers most of the questions that you might have. Then play the video again this time working along with it, pausing and play as needed. If you are more advanced feel free to paint along with Dominique
  • If possible print the reference at the same size as your canvas/panel.
  • Optionally, You can work from an iPad or monitor.
  • Enjoy lifetime access to the recordings.

Critiques

In a live class you can hear the teacher moving around the room giving critiques to each student. My goal when teaching online is to replicate this experience by doing group critiques. Each session you will see and hear me critiquing students work. I would encourage you to watch these critiques. While "Replay" does not include critiques You can learn as much from watching the critiques of other students work.

If you would like personalized feedback when you finish the months lessons you can book an online critique here: https://www.dominiquemedici.com/private-lessons
