Theme for the month | The Portrait as a Story.

Portraits that include objects tell us a story about our subject. In this class we will paint a portrait with Still life objects. You can compose your own painting or work from a selection of themes and images that Dominique will provide. It could be as simple as a Portrait of a loved one with flowers or their favorite book. It could be a figure in a landscape with their favorite park in the background. Let your creativity and storytelling come through in this class.

As always Dominique demonstrates the painting process and breaks it down into clear steps. We use a limited palette to help us understand color theory and relationships. Each week students receive critiques. Enjoy lifetime access to the class demos and critique recordings.
