Theme for the month | Painting Sargent’s hands

The challenge of painting hands is easily overcome when we study the way the masters did it. This month we will look at the structure, grace, and masterful way John Singer Sargent simplified, blocked in and effortlessly painted hand. Each week we will analyze and paint one set of hands. 

As always we will work with a 4 step process of; Proportion, Value, Color, and Edge. We will paint with a primary palette of 7 colors to help us master color relationships.
