Class Description

Theme for the month | Still Life Painting

In this class, we will break from our usual 1 painting per month and do 4 still life paintings. Still life exercises help us master the techniques and processes that are the foundation for all other disciplines. We will work from my favorite Still life painters; Henri Fantin Latour, Emil Carlsen, William Nicholson and Morandi.  We will paint one painting per week and as always work with a 4 step process of; Proportion, Value, Color, and Edge. And, we will paint with a primary palette of 7 colors to help us master color relationships.
