Theme for the Month | Figure Painting with a focus on skin tones Mixing Skin Tones

We will be doing 2 single session paintings this month. We will learn how to simplify the forms of body and look for rhythm and gesture in the pose. As always there will be a focus on value and color in the skin tones. Dominique will provide demos and break down the process of painting into clear and consecutive steps. Our process focuses on the 4 main aspects of the figure: Proportion, Value, Color, and Edge. We will use a limited palette that is designed to help you understand color theory and color relationships.
