Painting Three Poster Studies at Deception Pass
Painting Outdoors is immeasurably enjoyable but the light is fleeting and sometimes we don't have enough time to capture it all. This is where the skill of creating poster studies comes in to save the day.
In this course Dominique demonstrates process of creating poster studies and how to get good color, temperature and saturation on the spot. Take these fresh color studies and photographic reference home to create finished work that has the accuracy of the photo but the fresh color from life. This is an invaluable skill to have. Use this technique whenever you have limited time with your subject, be it landscape, portrait or still life.
Dominique Demos and walks you through the process from the first mark to last brush stroke. By the end you will have a thorough roadmap of the process and the knowledge to put it into action.
Ideally this exercise should take about 3:00-4:00 hours
